2016 USRC Research Symposium a Success
This summer the USRC hosted the first USRC Research Symposium on August 4, 2016. The symposium was held at the LANL University House and was a chance for USRC team members including NMC staff, students, interns and LANL staff, students, and interns to share research work.
The USRC Research Symposium involved talks by staff and students for most of the day as well as a dedicated poster session. The symposium began with an overview of the USRC and the keynote speaker, Lissa Baseman, gave a talk titled “Little Machines Helping Big Machines: Data Science for High Performance Computing”.
Talks and posters covered research topic such as HPC Systems Software, Applied Mathematics, and Resilience, Storage and Monitoring. To see the entire agenda and a list of talks, posters and authors click here.
