NMC Summer Interns, LANL and LA County Test Cutting Edge Technology

Los Alamos County, Los Alamos National Laboratory, the New Mexico Consortium, and a group of NMC Summer College Interns have been working together this summer on the research and development phase of hololens with the goal of advancing the application of this technology. 

The hololens is a computer you wear on your head, but it is not a virtual reality headset and does not have an wires to tie you down. Instead, the hololens superimposes virtual objects over your field of vision. This is called augmented reality. 

This technology is envisioned to become incredibly useful in many field settings. To read more see the article here
