Postdoctoral Researcherin Novel Systems Architecture

Edgar Leon is a postdoctoral researcher in the Novel Systems Architecture department at IBM Research. Before joining IBM, he worked for Sandia National Laboratories in the Scalable Systems Software department. Edgar received his PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico in May 2009. During his graduate work, he was an intern at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in the Advanced Operating Systems department. Edgar’s research interests include distributed systems, networks, computer architecture, and high performance computing. He is interested in identifying and addressing software challenges posed by emerging architectures in regards to performance, power, and usability; communication interfaces and protocols for system area networks; performance analysis of parallel applications; and simulation environments for parallel machines.
