A special thank you to April Beauchemin from the Chile Pepper Institute and to Jakobe Ochoa and Sarah Crotzer from New Mexico Tech for joining us on June 21 for Discovery Day at ScienceFest 2025. Their fantastic plants and robotics demonstrations captivated young and old minds alike.

We’re also deeply grateful to Spencer Lucas, Curator of Paleontology at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, for delivering an engaging public lecture on mass extinctions at Fuller Lodge on June 19.

Thank you to New Mexico Consortium staff members Carrie Talus, Stephanie Richeson, and Vijay Shankar for their enthusiastic efforts in managing the NMC booth at Discovery Day.

It was a vibrant ScienceFest this year filled with engaging science, exploration, and community spirit—thank you to everyone who helped make it a success!
