15th Ablation Workshop held November 18-20, 2025 at NMSU
The New Mexico Consortium (NMC) is pleased to co-sponsor the 15th Ablation Workshop, scheduled for November 18–20, 2025, at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The workshop will convene at the Corbett Center Student Union, located at 2795 S. Locust Street, Las Cruces, NM 88003.
The Ablation Workshop offers a singular gathering for a multi-disciplinary research community of scientists and engineers focused on aerothermodynamic ablation. Membership of this community spans government agencies, private industry, and academic institutions around the globe. Each workshop typically draws over 150 participants from many countries and institutions.
The primary objectives are to foster improved communication across national boundaries; to expose the aerothermodynamic ablation modeling community to new ideas and techniques from related disciplines; to bring new experimental methodologies to bear on challenging problems; and to discuss the difficulties of adapting existing techniques to new applications.
Abstract submissions are due October 17, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET. All prospective contributors are urged to review the registration and submission guidelines on the website.
Participants can expect technical presentations, panel dialogues, poster sessions, and ample opportunities for collaboration and networking. The workshop is designed to support the integration and advancement of methods in modeling, experimentation, and simulation, especially in high-temperature and high-enthalpy engineering applications.
The Ablation Workshop invites researchers, engineers, students, and stakeholders in related fields to engage in this international forum and help shape the future of ablation science and technology.
