Los Alamos 2018 Career Fair
The New Mexico Consortium (NMC) joined more than 70 companies, organizations, and graduate programs at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology’s Fall 2018 Career and Graduate School Fair, held on Tuesday, September 19, 2018.
NMC employees Shannan Schnedler and Carrie Talus represented the organization at the event. The NMC booth provided students with information about the Consortium, its mission, and the research and educational programs it supports. Students also had the opportunity to learn about current job openings, review educational and outreach materials, and ask questions about the types of work taking place at NMC.
The annual career fair encouraged all New Mexico Tech students to attend and explore a wide range of opportunities, including graduate school programs, internships, cooperative education positions, and full-time employment. Students were able to meet directly with recruiters from many different fields and learn more about potential career paths in science, engineering, technology, research, and related industries.
New Mexico Tech is recognized as one of the region’s premier science and engineering institutions, offering students hands-on research opportunities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Employers who participate in the career fair frequently note the high caliber of New Mexico Tech students, as well as the quality and organization of the event.
The New Mexico Consortium was pleased to take part in this year’s fair and connect with students interested in science, research, education, outreach, and future career opportunities.
