Congratulations To Recipients of J. Robert Oppenheimer Scholarships

Congratulations to Los Alamos High School student, Sean Lucero, and Pojoaque Valley High School student, Lilah Herrera, who were each awarded the J. Robert Oppenheimer Scholarship, funded by the New Mexico Consortium (NMC). This scholarship from the NMC is awarded to students who show exceptional promise of future contributions to society and plan to attend a New Mexico school of higher education.
This year, the JROMC awarded 20 scholarships totaling $62,500, bringing the program’s cumulative awards to an impressive $868,500 since its inception.
Scholarships are awarded based on merit and celebrate a wide range of student accomplishments. The JROMC scholarship program is made possible through the support of limited-term endowments, corporate and charitable partnerships, and generous individual donors.

The event is free and open to the public, and will take place on Monday, June 2, at 7:00 p.m. in the Duane Smith Auditorium at Los Alamos High School, 1300 Diamond Drive.
