New Mexico Consortium Collaboration Grants
The NMC offers support to our partner universities by offering grant money to bolster science research projects and collaborations in the state of New Mexico. Read below for instructions and who is eligible for a Collaboration Grant at the NMC. Any questions can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org
Eligibility and Purpose
Faculty and students from NMC partner universities (NMSU, NMT and UNM) may apply for a grant for the development of collaborative research and education programs to build collaborations with LANL and other institutions within the partnership.
Covered Costs and Payment
NMC grants can cover travel costs (such as mileage, rental car and gas, public transportation, lodging), registration fees, educational activities, time and effort to develop collaborative projects. Travel costs are reimbursed in accordance with federal government policies; receipts are required for all expenses except for mileage: see NMC Travel Guidelines for details. To compensate time and effort, NMC can hire the grantee directly or pay the costs via a subcontract to the grantee’s institution. Allowable costs on NMC grants can be paid by the NMC directly to vendors or reimbursed to the grantee.
Grant requests may be submitted using the NMC Collaboration Grant Request Form. There are no deadlines. Requests are reviewed as received.
A brief report on the outcomes of the funded activity will be required upon the completion of travel. Attach your report to your Reimbursement Request.
Grantees may acknowledge the NMC support in research articles and posters. Suggested acknowledgement statement: This work was supported by a Collaboration Grant from the New Mexico Consortium.
