Students Register Now for NetLogo or Python Mesa Coding Classes

Students may register now for NetLogo or Python Mesa coding classes. As part of the Summer Science Institute (SSI) that was offered on July 16th, the Supercomputing Challenge is offering two types of free short courses: NetLogo and Python Mesa.

Summer Science Institute students are encouraged to register today!

NetLogo was designed for multiple audiences in mind, in particular: teaching the education community and experts without a programming background to model related phenomena. This is offered by Harry Henderson, an experienced educator and programmer.

Python Mesa is agent-based modeling in Python 3+.  It allows users to quickly create agent-based models, visualize them, and analyze results using Python’s data analysis tools  This short course is put together by Tom Robey, an experienced SC volunteer and professional programmer.

Please indicate if you want to take the:

  • NetLogo class, July 27, 28, 29 and 30th from 11:00am -12:30pm and/or the
  • Python Mesa Class, July 28, 29, and 30th at 1:00pm.
