This November 17 – 19, 2019, the NMC shares a booth with the University of New Mexico, New Mexico State University, and Oklahoma University at the SC’19 Conference. This international conference for high performance computing, networking, storage and analysis is held this year at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, CO.
At the exhibition booth, the NMC displayed a poster highlighting our commitment to supporting high quality research including advanced computing and our work with the Ultrascale Systems Research Center (USRC), a collaboration between the NMC and LANL to engage universities and industry nationally in support of high performance computing research.
The USRC investigates the challenges of computing at extreme scales. The key focus areas of the USRC are storage, networking, resilience, system software, and machine learning.
The NMC attends this conference annually because we believe the future of scientific research leans towards high performance computing as scientists strive to provide computational solutions to global challenges. We hope to engage with and attract HPC researchers to northern New Mexico to work with us and be a part of the New Mexico Consortium.
Who are we? The New Mexico Consortium (NMC) is non-profit corporation formed by three New Mexico universities in order to facilitate research in the state of New Mexico, and specifically to increase research collaborations between universities, industry and Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Contact us for more information on how to become a partner or affiliate.
