NMC Holds Annual Picnic at Urban Park

The New Mexico Consortium held its annual picnic gathering on Friday, September 15, at Urban Park in Los Alamos. Staff and their families were invited to attend, and the event had a wonderful turnout.

The company picnic was both a bring-a-dish-to-share potluck and a catered event, featuring enchiladas and tamales from El Parasol. Guests enjoyed a variety of homemade dishes, catered favorites, drinks, and desserts while spending time together outside of the office. Fortunately, the weather held out, making for a pleasant September evening filled with good food, conversation, and community.

Each year, the NMC hosts an annual picnic to celebrate its employees, their families, and the dedication that each person brings to the organization. It is an opportunity to pause, connect, and recognize the hard work that keeps the NMC running smoothly throughout the year.

This year’s gathering also included a special celebration honoring the retirement of Parks Fields, who was an integral part of the IT department for many years. Parks made many important contributions to the NMC, and his knowledge, dedication, and support will be greatly missed. We wish him all the best as he begins this next chapter in retirement.
