NMC Hosts Weekly Coffee/Tea Meetup

NMC Hosts Weekly Coffee/Tea Meetup

The NMC hosts a weekly meetup. Every Wednesday at the LA Research Park, the New Mexico Consortium hosts a meetup for researchers to get together and enjoy some coffee/tea and snacks while discussing science. Scientists are invited to come, enjoy the food and drink and network with their colleagues.

This weekly event is a chance to meet and get to know other researchers working at the Research Park in Ultrascale Systems Research, Space Science, Neuromorphic Computation, and other exciting research areas.

The Ultrascale Systems Research Center (USRC) is a collaboration between the NMC and LANL to engage universities and industry nationally in support of high performance computing research. Space Science at the NMC is a joint  with research program partnering with Los Alamos National Laboratory’s (LANL) Intelligence and Space Research (ISR) division to pursue research in space science. Research topics include space weather, planetary exploration, and remote sensing of the earth. Neuromorphic Computing at the NMC investigates the computational principles that enable high-level sensory processing and sensory cognition in the human brain by attempting to implement these principles into large-scale, high-performance computer models.

Please join us every Wednesday at 3pm in Suite 301, Los Alamos Research Park for Coffee and Tea at the NMC.
