The J. Robert Oppenheimer Memorial Committee (JROMC) has announced the winners of the 2023 scholarship awards for Los Alamos and regional high school seniors.

The JROMC is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Robert Oppenheimer, the first director of Los Alamos National Laboratory and one of the most influential scientists of the 20th Century. This Oppenheimer scholarship is awarded to high school seniors at Los Alamos, Pojoaque Valley, Santa Fe and Capital High Schools based on merit and to recognize a variety of achievements.

The New Mexico Consortium (NMC) is a proud supporter of the JROMC scholarships.

Each year, New Mexico Consortium funds one J. Robert Oppenheimer Scholarship. This year, the NMC funded J. Robert Oppenheimer Scholarship is awarded to Adeline Feng. This scholarship is awarded to a student from a regional high school who shows exceptional promise of future contributions to society and plans to attend a New Mexico school of higher education.

Congratulations Adeline Feng!

In addition to its annual scholarship program, the JROMC sponsors the Oppenheimer Memorial Lecture. This year the free lecture will be “Printing Soft Objects and Functional Tissues” by Professor Jennifer Lewis, Jianming Yu Professor of Arts and Sciences at Harvard.
