The New Mexico Consortium is committed to responsible and ethical conduct of research and research security.
Research Integrity
The Research Integrity Policy and related procedures were developed to prevent misconduct in search and protect the positions and reputations of good faith complainants, witnesses and committee members.
The Responsible and Ethical Conduct of Research policy and training were developed to promote awareness and application of established professional norms and ethical principles in the performance of all activities related to scientific research.
Research Security
In accordance with Section 10634 of the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 (42 U.S.C. § 19234) and the requirements outlined in Important Notice No. 149: Updates to NSF Research Security Policies, all individuals listed on proposals or awards as senior/key personnel must complete approved Research Security Training, including Other Support Disclosure, within 12 months prior to proposal submission.
This requirement applies to all proposals, regardless of the funding agency.
Mandatory Research Security Training (Effective October 10, 2025)
There are 4 modules in the training course. Upon completion of each individual module (it takes 60 min), the trainee must download or print a completion certificate. Important: The training system does not store your progress or completion records. All 4 completion certificates must be provided as part of your proposal package.
